The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration sassa status check Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
